“Absolutely hilarious... the master storyteller. One of the finest solo performers of his generation.”
-The New York Times

Master storyteller Mike Daisey brings his acclaimed, longstanding series of monologues to the EKU Center stage with a world-premiere, one-night-only theatrical event. Daisey will tell a tale made for our community, weaving together stories from his own life with events of the day and secret histories of our region to create his award-winning series of local monologues that will leave you with a new take on an old topic: yourself, your life, and your home. He’ll talk about the gap between what we think Appalachia will be and what it is, the evolution of bluegrass and its relationship to jazz, Thomas Merton, and his own connections with a mysterious land known as Kentucky.
