Set in the Kingdom of Denmark, the play dramatizes the revenge Prince Hamlet exacts for his father’s murder. It vividly portrays overwhelming grief and rage while exploring themes of danger, vengeance and moral corruption. Hamlet is among the most powerful and influential tragedies in English literature and many believe it is the best of Shakespeare’s work, the perfect play and certainly one of his most well-known and oft-quoted. Ian Belknap, Artistic Director of The Acting Company, brings this masterpiece to life.
