'Walking Dead' Creator Robert Kirkman comes to the EKU Center on March 30

Kentuckian Robert Kirkman is coming to the EKU Center for the Arts in Richmond on Thursday, March 30 at 7:00 PM. The creator of The Walking Dead, Invincible, and Outcast will give a special presentation followed by a question and answer session with the audience. The event is a fundraiser for Telford Community Center YMCA and co-sponsored by the EKU Center for the Arts.

Tickets are $20 and go on sale Friday, February 24 at 9:00 AM. VIP Meet & Greet tickets cost $100 and include a premium seat, exclusive VIP Meet & Greet pass and lanyard, and photo opp with Kirkman. Tickets can purchased online at EKUCenter.com, by calling Etix at 800.514.3849, or in person at 1 Hall Drive in Richmond.

Other activities include a costume contest. Attendees are encouraged to dress as their favorite Walking Dead character or zombie. Prizes will be awarded for the best costume.

In addition to his work as a writer and executive producer on The Walking Dead, Kirkman is also a successful creator of independent comics. He created and continues to write the long-running Image Comics title The Walking Dead, on which the hit television show is based. He also writes the acclaimed and equally long-running super-hero comic Invincible, which he created with artist Cory Walker, and the supernatural horror series Outcast, which he created with artist Paul Azaceta.
