Art Teachers as Artist Exhibit

Monday, September 27, 2021

The Art Education program at the EKU School of Art & Design celebrates 13 artist-teachers currently practicing in Kentucky. The multidisciplinary alumni exhibit, Art Teachers as Artists, will be on display at EKU Center for the Arts, in both the upper and lower lobby galleries, October 1 – November 11, 2021.

“Art Teachers as Artists is a testimonial to these successful Art Education graduates who make time and space for art-making in their life, carrying on a lively artistic practice that contributes to the highest level of teaching. These educators lead by example, sharing and inspiring students with the art they create.”

-Dr. Ilona Szekely
Exhibit Curator & Assistant Professor of Art Education

This exhibit is free and open to the public Monday through Friday, 9 AM - 4:30 PM, and during EKU Center events. Please note that face masks are required at all times while inside the facility.
